The Helenites Sports Club hosted its general election on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the University of the Virgin Islands from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. There was a total of 15 club members and 10 volunteers in attendance. The purpose of the meeting was to re-elect the officers since the previous officers have now moved on and requested a change in leadership. In addition, the Club, for some time, has lacked the structure it needs to move us forward in the right direction. It is time for us to put this to an end and get the club back on the path of continuous success. As we set out to create a bright future for this club, this is our opportunity to chose wisely amongst our peers to lead the journey. Also, with the introduction of the youth program which began on March 19, 2022, the club saw it fit to host this general election to ensure that the youth program functions at its expected level and the club overall maintains its stability and reputation as one of the most decorated soccer clubs in the Virgin Islands. The club statutes revision was also reviewed and discussed in the meeting as a follow up agenda.

All anticipated candidates provided brief remarks as to why they are running for roles in office and why it is best to vote for them. Theodora Philip was the only candidate not in attendance due to a work emergency but sent an audio which was played during the meeting. Ballots were handed out to all members. Eustace Bailey, Technical Director at the USVISA Soccer Association was not able to attend on behalf of the Association due to another engagement. The votes were validated by Ms. Lori Giordano who is not a member of the club.

The elected officials of the Helenites Sports Club which took effect in October of 2022 are as follows:

Under the leadership of our newly elected officers, we established sub-committees to ensure that volunteerism is highly recognized within the club. The below are the following active committees.
